MRS. LENA ULRICH

Mrs. Lena Ulrich, 80, of Washburn, Ill. died April 6, 1973 at the Washburn Nursing Home where she had received care for three weeks after being in the hospital five weeks.

She was born near Lowpoint, Ill. on Aug. 20, 1892, daughter of Chris and Mary Kennell Eigsti. She married David M. Ulrich on Nov. 2, 1911. Mr. Ulrich passed away in June 1966.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Josephine) Unzicker of Washburn, Mrs. Eugene (Pearl) Schrock of Freeport, and Mrs. Ben (Ada) Nofsinger of Washington, Ill.; four sons, Chris, Lester, and Edward, all of Washburn, and Arthur of Harrisburg, Ore.; 32 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Peter Eigsti of Eureka, Ill. and Chris Eigsti of Mena, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Christner of Shelbyville, Ill. and Mrs. Phoebe Hostetler of Eureka, Ill.

She was preceded in death by two children, two grandchildren, two brothers, and seven sisters.

She was a member of the Mt. Herman Amish Mennonite Church of Shelbyville. She accepted Christ in her youth and served him faithfully until He said, “Well done.”

Services were held on April 9 at the Linn Township Amish Mennonite Church. Burial was made in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery.
