MISS KATHARINA TOEWS

Katharina Toews was born in South Russia in 1880 and died at Vineland, Ontario, February 20, 1965. Death was the result of natural causes brought on by old age. Miss Toews was converted at 18 years and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church after baptism upon her confession of faith. She came to Canada in 1924 and made her home for many years at Kitchener, Ontario. The last five years she spent at the Bethesda Home, Vineland. The funeral was in the Vineland MB Church with the brethren David Friesen, chaplain at Bethesda Home,and Isaac Tiessen, pastor of the Kitchener Church, ministering. Miss Toews is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Aganetha Schmidt of Kitchener, and Mrs. Hiebert, still in Russia.
