MRS. EUNICE TOEWS

On February 24 Eunice Toews, aged 28 years, passed away at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Henry Toews of Niverville. The funeral service was Tuesday, February 27 at 2 p.m. in the Niverville Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. W. Dyck officiating. Interment was in the local cemetery.

Eunice was born at Steinbach, moved to Stuartburn with her parents Rev. and Mrs. Joe Wiebe, well known church workers in Manitoba, and after several years moved with them to Ashern. Here she received her elementary and secondary education and also cheerfully and capably assisted her parents in the their gospel services. She taught a kindergarten class in Steinbach for two years and in Niverville for one term. She was active in church and community activities; presently the president of the Ladies' Missionary Group of her church and formerly a leader in the Niverville 4H Club. Her husband is the principal of the Niverville Collegiate.

Besides her husband she is survived by three children: Joanne Marie 7, Teresa Eunice 5, Timothy John 3; her parents of Winnipegosis; two sisters, Mrs. Waldo Enns (Ruth) and Mrs. Henry Wedel (Lois), both of Winnipeg; and two brothers, Phillip of Winnipeg and David at home.
