ABRAHAM M. TOEWS

Abraham M. Toews, of Rt. 1, Dallas, Ore., passed away at his home on Aug. 21 after a short illness. Mr. Toews was born in Henderson, Neb. on Nov. 29, 1887, the son of Abraham and Susana Warkentin Toews.

On Dec. 16, 1914 he married Agnes Fast in Butterfield, Minn. They resided in Butterfield until 1924 when they moved to Dallas. Mr. Toews had spent most of his life in the farming industry. He was a member of the Mennonite Church of Herbert, Sask. and the Grace Mennonite Church of Dallas.

Surviving are his wife Agnes of Dallas; sons, Abe Toews Jr. of Dallas, Ted Toews of Fremont, Neb. and Edward Toews of Atascadero, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Herman (Laurena) Schrag and Mrs. Herman (Frieda) Fast, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Albert (Agnes) Warkentin of Eugene; and 16 grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Grace Mennonite Church, with Rev. Olin A. Krehbiel officiating. Burial was made in the Dallas Cemetery.
