ABRAHAM P. TIEZEN

Funeral services were held in the Dalmeny (Sask.) Church for Abraham P. Tieszen, 73, who passed away on February 7. Officiating at the service were the Rev. Ben Heppner and Dr. Abe Voth.

Mr. Tieszen was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, June 13, 1893. He accepted Christ as Saviour, was baptized, and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1916 he was married to Nettie Heide. Nine children were born to them, three of whom predeceased him. They homesteaded in Montana, moved to Saskatchewan a few years later, and finally settled on a farm near Hepburn. Upon retiring they moved to Dalmeny where Mr. Tieszen spent the last 13 years of his life.

Mr. Tieszen loved and studied the Word of God. He enjoyed good health until June 1966 when he was hospitalized for cancer treatment. He never fully recovered.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Nettie, four daughters and their husbands, two sons and their wives, grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
