RANDOLPH W. THIMM

Randolph William Thimm was born April 19, 1919, at Beatrice, Neb., to William and Margarete Penner Thimm.

He attended summer school and Mennonite Bible Academy and was graduated from Beatrice High School in 1938.

He was baptized upon confession of faith and received into the membership of First Mennonite Church, rural Beatrice.

He was married to Rosa L. Bartel on Aug. 30, 1959, at Hillsboro, Kan., by Henry W. Goossen. In 1984 they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

His life interest was his farm and home. He began farming with his father in 1939. He loved the outdoors and animals and was in the dairy business for many years.

He was a friend to all, especially to his great nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa; a daughter, Sheryl, and her husband, Kenneth Niemeyer, of Pickrell; a son, Randy, Jr., of the home; and three sisters, Alice Wiebe of Beatrice, Irene Unruh of Ottawa, Kan., and Marjorie epp of Beatrice.

Funeral services were held Dec. 28, 1987, at First Mennonite Church with Tim Schrag officiating. Burial was n the church cemetery.
