Our community was shocked and saddened by the shooting death of Sacha Thieszen, 12, at the family home on Sept. 14. Her brother, Sydney, 14, who was wanted in connection with Sacha's death was found in Salina, Kan., on Sept. 21. He was sleeping in a satellite post office building in the Kraft Manor shopping center in south Salina when the police found him Thieszen was not armed and no force was required to apprehend him. He was brought back to York to be charged. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Thieszen are the parents of Sacha and Sydney.
