PETER J. THIESSEN

Peter J. Thiessen of Herbert, Sask passed away suddenly on May 28 as the result of a farm accident. Mr. Thiessen was bom at Herbert on May 21, 1907 and grew up on his parents farm in the Greenfarm district, where he married Elizabeth Thielman in 1927. The couple farmed in this area until the present time, though living in Herbert since 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, Walter of Saskatoon, Alfred of Herbert, Sask., and Clarence of Sundre, Alta.; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Jacob of Kelstern, Sask., George of Saskatoon, Sask., and John of Abbotsford, B.C.; and five sisters, Anna of Winnipeg, Mrs. J.C. (Susan) Penner of Shafter, California, Mrs. J.S. (Helen) Thiessen of Herbert, Sask., Mrs. Henry (Katherine) Buhler of Dallas, Oregon, and Mrs. D.O. (Martha,) Schulz of Herbert.
