● Leona S. (Bolen) Thiessen, 84, of Whitewater, died July 3 at Wheat State Manor, Whitewater. Funeral services were held July 5 at Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater. Andrew Shelly and Rodney Crowell officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Ivan of Moundridge and Harvey of Whitewater, and one daughter, Vivian Bartley of Salida, Calif. Her husband, Herbert, preceded he rin deth Jan. 22.
