HENRY THIESSEN

Mr. Henry Thiessen was born on July 3, 1904 in Eichenfeld, Russia. During his teen years he accepted Christ as Saviour and was baptized on May 21, 1923 to become a member of the General Conference Mennonite Church.

In 1924 he left Russia to find a new home in Kitchener, Ontario. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Woelk in Kitchener on November I, 1931. The Lord gave them three sons and granted them 35 years of married life.

In 1937 they moved to Virgil where they lived for 17 years. In 1954 another move to St. Catharines brought them into fellowship with the Scott Street MB Church. On January 2, 1966, after personal victories, he joined the Fairview MB Church. It was a joyous occasion for wife and children. He increasingly enjoyed the fellowship of God's' people and on Thanksgiving Day gratefully acknowledged his thanks to God in public prayer. He was suddenly called home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 29, at 8:45 p.m.

He reached the age of 62 years, 3 months and 26 days.

Left to mourn are his wife, three sons, Arnold at home, Walter and Arthur married and living in St. Catharines, four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Franz Neufeld, Paraguay, another sister, Mrs. C. K. Heidebrecht, Red Deer, Alberta, and many other relatives and friends.

The family is grateful for the blessings in their home and cling to the promise of a glorious reunion in the presence of the Lord and all his saints.
