Head-on Crash in B. C. Kills Father of Nine
Yarrow, B. C. — A two-car head-on collision near Lytton on June 27 claimed the life of Benjamin Thiessen, 45, father of nine children.
Thiessen was dead on arrival at the hospital. Injured in the grinding crash were his wife, Justina, and four of their children. The driver of the other car suffered only minor injuries.
The accident occurred on a curve in the Trans-Canada highway.
