DAVID JOHN TEICHROB

David Teichrob of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away on December 30. He was born on May 17, 1895 to John and Maria (Quiring) Teichrob in Sagradowka, southern Russia. The family later moved to Siberia, where he served in the medical service during W.W.I. He married Maria Unruh in 1918. They emigrated to Mexico in 1925, moving later to Canada and living in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and finally B.C. (Matsqui and Abbotsford) for 34 years. In March 1921 he accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized by Rev. Peter Bergen into the Mennonite Brethren church in Schoenwiese, Siberia. He was predeceased by sons David and Peter. He leaves to mourn his wife Maria; daughter Mary and husband David Niessen; sons John and wife Helen, Henry and wife Freda, and Dave and wife Tina; daughters-in-law Vivian (Mrs. Alvin) Warkentin and Elizabeth (Mrs. Chester) Marshall; one sister, 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
