Highway Crash Fatal To College Youth

SERVICES AT WEST LIBERTY OHIO FOR 19-YEAR-OLD RONALD SWARTZENDRUBER

West Liberty, Ohio. — Funeral services for Ronald G. Swartzendruber, 19,victim of a highway collision near Van Wert, O, were conducted at the Oak Grove Mennonite church here Aug. 10.

The young man had completed two years of study at Eastern Mennonite College in Virginia. Employed as a carpenter in Fort Wayne for the summer, he was en route home to Troy, Ohio when his auto collided head-on with another vehicle on U. S. 30 duirng a rain storm. Two young women in the other car were seriously hurt.

The accident occurred Friday, Aug. 5, and Swartzendruber died the following Monday in Van Wert Hospital.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Swartzendruber of Troy, four brothers and two sisters. A sister, Mrs. James Martin, is a missionary in Uruguay.
