FORMER IOWA RESIDENT DIED IN ILLINOIS

Wellman, Iowa. — Funeral services were held at the Lower Deer Creek church on Dec 28 for Melvin Swartzendruber, 53, who died in a hospital at Freeport, Ill. Dec. 25 after a short illness. He and his family had lived at Shannon, Ill. for the past 10 years.

Besides his wife and two daughters at home, survivors include his aged father of Kalona and a number of brothers and sister.
