MARY SUDERMAN

Mrs. Mary Suderman (nee Isaac) was born to John and Katherine Isaac on August 13, 1919 in Alexanderpol, Russia. She moved with her parents to Canada in 1924, settling at Arnaud, Manitoba in 1925.

At an early age she came to know Christ as her personal Saviour and Lord. She was baptized on August 8, 1937 and received into the local Mennonite Brethren church. She also enjoyed one winter of Bible instruction at the Winkler Bible Institute.

She married Jacob Suderman on July 19, 1942. Their first home was a farm ' at St. Elizabeth, Man. Three years later they moved to Chilliwack, B .C., where they worked diligently on a farm until 1968. They then took up residence in Abbotsford. Their marriage was blessed with five children: four daughters and one son.

Throughout her life, Mary was very active in the Lord's work. As a deaconness in Chilliwack she had many opportunities to demonstrate her faith. In the family circle she was a dearly loved daughter, wife, mother and sister. Her "homegoing" came suddenly and unexpectedly on October 5 at Harrison Mills, B.C.

She leaves to mourn: her parents; her husband Jacob; four daughters: Hildegard, Linda, Betty and Lily; one son John; three sons-in-law, Rudy Bandsmer, Ben Stobbe and Doug Petkau; four grandchildren; five brothers, John, Abe, Jake, Neil and Art; two sisters, Hilda Geddert and Katie Thiessen as well as many other relatives and friends.
