ALVIN STUTZMAN

Alvin Stutzman, son of David E. and Susanna (Mast) Stutzman, was born Jan. 26, 1876, near Sugarcreek, Ohio, and passed away July 29, 1958, at his home in Upland, Calif., at the age of 82 years and six months.

When he was a young boy of nine the family moved to Milford, Neb. where he grew to manhood and joined the Fairview Mennonite Church.

On Jan. 10, 1901, he was united in holy matrimony to Matilda Ann Schrock of Aurora, Neb., where they lived until 1914 when they moved to Tofield, Alberta, Canada. In 1924 the family moved to Upland, Calif. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Upland.

In September 1957 he had surgery from which he never fully recovered. Although he never suffered much pain, he often expressed his desire to go Home. He was always cheerful and was happy to have visitors.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and two daughters, Nettie S. Cooley of Upland, and Belva S. McFadden and two sons of Ontario, Calif.

We miss our loved one so much, but we submit all things to the Lord. He knows what is best and does all things well. — The Family.
