PHYLLIS ANN STUCKY

Phyllis Ann Stucky came to bless the home of Marion and Welma (Siemens) Stucky of Galva, Kansas, on Jan. 26, 1956. As a baby and little girl she brought much pleasure and happiness to our home. She was always cheerful and playful. As a member of the family she was loved, and loved in return; always accompanying the family in work, play, and worship. She loved Sunday School and one of her last requests was that her mother dress her in her pretty Sunday dress and with her little red purse she would take her niece, Cindy, by the hand and go to Sunday School. One of her final acts being to deposit her money in the Harvest Mission Festival.

In the early part of October she became ill with what later was diagnosed as serious and perhaps incurable. As her condition became more serious she was taken to various hospitals and clinics but all medical help was of no avail. Evidently God had other plans for her. She died on Jan. 28, 1959 in the home; reaching the age of three years and two days.

She will always be remembered by those who knew her and her ability to endure pain and suffering patiently and quietly until the end. She frequently talked, even in her last hour, the main topic being her little niece, whom she appreciated much in the short time she knew her.

Although gone, many pleasant memories of her will remain.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Stucky, her sister Karlyn [sic Karolyn], her brothers LaVern and Glenn, a sister-in-law, Marilyn and a niece Cynthia, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Siemens and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Stucky, also her many Uncles and Aunts, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan.20, at one o'clock in the afternoon at the home and at two o'clock in the Hopefield Church, with Rev. H. B. Schmidt in charge and Rev. Ben Friesen of Meno, Okla, assisting. Interment was in the Hopefield cemetery. — The Parents.
