Moundridge Youth Dies in Crossing Accident

LEONARD STUCKY AND COMPANION KILLED IN CRASH NEAR DENVER

Moundridge, Kan. — Funeral services were held at the Eden Mennonite church near here Friday afternoon for Leonard Stucky, 19, who was killed Dec. 18 when his car was involved in an accident with the Union Pacific streamliner, "City of Denver," near Brighton, Colo.

Also fatally injured in the crash was his companion, Miss Nancy Burkhardt, who died in the ambulance en route to Denver General Hospital.

Only a short time before, the couple had left the General hospital, where Leonard was employed as an attendant and Miss Burkhardt was an X-ray technician. They were en route to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burkhardt, at Ft. Lupton.

Leonard was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herb J. T. Stucky of Moundridge.
