Young Pretty Prairie Farmer Fatally Injured

HARVEY R. STUCKY KILLED WHILE WORKING ON TRUCK AT HOME

Pretty Prairie, Kansas. — Harvey R. Stucky, 28 year old farmer living east of town, was killed last Thursday afternoon while working on a large truck at his home.

Mrs. Stucky found him crushed to death under the heavy grain box of the truck after one of the small children came into the house to re¬port that something was wrong with daddy. Exact cause of the tragic accident perhaps never will be known, although it is believed that the three year old son was in the cab of the truck and may have released a lever at the time Mr. Stucky was working underneath the grain box.

Among the survivors are his grief-stricken wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stucky, and two small children.

An usually large crowd attended funeral services held at the First Mennonite church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Dr. Howard G. Nyce, the local pastor, and Rev. S. J. Goering of North Newton.
