Mrs. P. E. Stucky [sic Stuckey]

Mrs. Stuckey, the aged wife of Rev. Peter E. Stuckey, passed away at the home of her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Burkey, at Salem, Ia. Mrs. Stuckey has been in frail health for more than 25 years. Since August 1925 she has been confined to her bed and many times during the past year her death has been expected. She suffered greatly at times and frequently expressed the wish that death might come to her relief.

During her long illness she had the devoted care and attention of her children, one of them being with her almost constantly.

Funeral services were held at the Mennonite church. The funeral party then left for Washington, Ill., the former home of the family, where interment was made.
