Father of Three Killed When Truck Overturns

Leola, Pa. — An accident on an icy highway near Strasburg, Pa. claimed the life of Steven F. Stoltzfus, 31, father of three children and a member of the Old Order Amish church.

He and Omer Lapp of Leola were passengers in a panel truck driven by James Baum of Lancaster when it skidded out of control, hit an embankment and rolled over, Stoltzfus was pinned under the truck and died of multiple fractures. The three men were en route to a saw mill to saw posts.

Survivors include his wife, the former Rebecca Beiler, their three children, and his parents, Menno and Rebecca Stoltzfus of Gordonville, Pa. Funeral services were to be held at the Roy Stoltzfus home on Jan. 7.
