OLDEST MEMBER OF AMISH CHURCH PASSES AWAY AT THE AGE OF 102
Gordonville, Pa. — Funeral services took place near here recently for Mrs. Sarah Stoltzfus, age 102 years and three months, who was believed to be the oldest member of the Old Order Amish church in the U. S. and Canada. Around 400 persons attended the final services, at which Pre. Amos U. Stoltzfus and Bishop John C. Plank officiated.
Mrs. Stoltzfus, whose maiden name was Lapp, was born in this community on August 24, 1844. She is survived by five children and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
