Heavy Farm Accident Toll in Lancaster County, Pa. Region

Gap, Pa. — Farm accidents have taken an unusually heavy toll in the Lancaster County region in recent weeks, one of them claiming the life of a seven-year-old boy.

Omer Stoltzfus, son of Samuel J. and Susie Stoltzfus of Honey Brook, was instantly killed in a neighbor's lane when the team of mules he was driving ran away, throwing him off the wagon.

Abram P. Stoltzfus, 62-year-old farmer of Gap, suffered a broken neck when his team of horses bolted and dragged him. He is in traction in Lancaster General Hospital.

Eli Martin, former blacksmith of New Holland, was reported in critical condition after a 12 foot fall from the rafters in his barn.

Near Kinzers, seven-year-old Isaac Stoltzfus suffered a badly injured foot when caught between two farm wagons. He is the son of Joe S. and Fannie Stoltzfus.
