INJURIES SUFFERED IN ACCIDENT FOUR MONTHS AGO PROVE FATAL
Berne, Ind. — Injuries suffered in a fall from a ladder on Sept. 2 proved fatal on Jan. 1 for Christian P. Steury, 67, well-known retired farmer and carpenter here.
Mr. Steury was helping his son, Ivan Steury, reroof a barn when he fell onto a cement barnyard. He sustained a fractured skull, severe concussion and probable broken back and never regained consciousness.
Funeral services were held Jan. 4 at the Evangelical Mennonite church near here, of which he was a member.
