MRS. MARTHA STEALY

Mrs. Martha M. Stealy, 74, widow of Rufus Stealy, died at the Mennonite Home for the Aged at Eureka, Ill., Saturday night Dec 31. She had lived with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Merl [sic Merle] Yoder, at Wakarusa. Ind. until she entered the Eureka home last September.

She was born March 18, 1875, in Elkhart county, a daughter of Jacob and Rebecca (Boyer) Culp. Her husband, Rufus Stealy, died in 1937.

Surviving besides Mrs. Yoder are two other daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Ruth) Boyer of Elkhart, and Mrs. Ralph (Bernice) Hostetler, South Bend; a son, Louis D. Stealy of Elkhart; three sisters, Mrs. Susan Unruh of Newton, Kans.; Mrs. Emma Spangler, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Sadie C. Miller, New Carlisle, Ind.; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Prairie Street Mennonite church, Elkhart, Wednesday afternoon, Jan, 4, in charge of John Gingrich and Leroy Hostetler. Burial was made in the Prairie Street cemetery.
