text of obituary:

Stauffer. — In Bechtelsville, Pa., died on May 2, 1914, Henry Stauffer aged 61 years, 3 months, 10 days. He was a member of the Hereford Mennonite church at Bally, and there on the adjoining cemetery his body was laid to rest on May 7 with appropriate services, conducted by the pastor, A. S. Shelly, assisted by Bro. Jacob Snyder. He leaves a wife with whom he lived in happy wedded life for almost thirty-seven years. Having no children of their own, children of other families always found in him a fond friend. A niece of the deceased, at the death of her father, was given here a home and parental love and care. Having grown to womanhood and married she now, with her husband and two little girls, of whom the deceased was particularly fond, remains with the widow, sharing her sorrow and the keeping up of the home whose vacant chair will long be the cause of many heart-aches.
