HARVEY STAHLY

Harvey Stahly, son of Daniel and Sarah (Smucker) Stahly, was born at Nappanee, Ind. on July 20, 1883 and died at his home at Nappanee on Jan. 17, 1969 at the age of 85. Death was due to a heart attack.

He was married to Nellie McGowan at Nappanee on Aug. 18, 1904. He devoted his life to farming, and also was employed as a factory worker.

Survivors include four sons, Ward of Elkhart, Ind., Rev. Ralph Stahly, pastor of the Midland Mennonite Church, Midland, Mich., Paul and LaMar, both of Wakarusa, Ind.; two brothers, Roy of Ligonier, Ind. and Russell of Nappanee; four sisters, Alma of Roanoke, Ill., Ida of Goshen, Ind., Bertha and Dorothy, both of Nappanee.

He was a member of the North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee, where the funeral was conducted on Jan. 20. Norman Lyndaker and Homer North officiated. Burial was made in Union Center Cemetery.
