LORRAINE K. STAHL

Lorraine K. Stahl was born on Jan. 31, 1919 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, the only son of Ira and Nora (Kaufman) Stahl. He died at his home in Davidsville, Pa. on Nov. 4, 1969 after suffering a heart attack.

He was in Civilian Public Service during World War II, being stationed at Grottoes, Va. and Terry, Mont.

He was a member of the Tire Hill Church of the Brethren where he taught a youth class and was a member of the Home Builders Class. He served as a committeeman for Davidsville Troop 114, Boy Scouts of America.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son. Surviving are his widow, the former Eva Jean Hammer; four children, Loren G. of Tire Hill, Ira W. of Davidsville, Keith Eugene and Enid Winona, both at home; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Romaine) Sala of Goshen, Ind. and Mrs. J. Clarence (Grace) Brubaker of Manheim, Pa.

Funeral services were held at the Tire Hill Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh officiating. Interment was in Kaufman’s Cemetery.
