Roanoke, Illinois Farmer Died
Metamora, Ill. — Peter J. Springer, 60, well-known farmer of the Roanoke community, died at the farm home May 15 after several years of failing health.
Funeral services were held at the Metamora Mennonite Church, with Ezra Yordy and Roy Bucher officiating.
Mr. Springer, a native of the Dewey community, had farmed the same land for the past 26 years. He leaves his wife, three sons, nine grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
