ACCIDENT WITH HORSE AND BUGGY FATAL TO PENNSYLVANIA WOMAN

Belleville, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the Jesse D. Spicher home near here on Sept. 2 for Mrs. Jonas P. Spicher, 38, who received fatal injuries in a runaway on Aug. 28. Pre. Enos Kurtz conducted the service.

Injured in the same accident were Mrs. Spicher’s sister, Mary Yoder, who suffered a broken arm, and her two children, Salome and Thomas Spicher, eight and two years of who had head injuries. Another child, Rachel, 4, was not seriously injured.

The family was riding in a buggy, with Mrs. Spicher driving, when the horse became frightened and ran through a field, the buggy finally striking a tree and throwing the occupants out on the ground.

The deceased, who was a member of the Zook Amish church is survived by her husband and five small children; her parents, Abe S. Yoders; and three sisters and nine brothers.
