Boy Killed As Rifle is Accidentally Discharged.

A bullet from a rifle accidentally discharged by his brother on April 14 took the life of Donald Sommer, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Sommer of Pandora, Ohio. The Pandora, Ohio, Times gives the following report of the tragic accident:

Donald, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Sommer, was born four miles east of Pandora on Dec. 11, 1914. on Saturday noon, April 14, 1934, a rifle in the hands of his brother was accidentally discharged, the bullet hitting him, killing him instantly. The accident occurred on a farm near Beaverdam, Ohio, about two miles from his home. He had reached the age of nineteen years and four months.

His life was spent on the farm with his parents east of Pandora, and he attended Riley township grade school and started high school in Pandora. He was baptized and united with the St. John Mennonite church in his youth and later transferred his membership to the Ebenezer church.
