Aged Resident of Berne Called

Berne, Ind. — Mrs. Sarah Soldner passed away at her home here on Aug. 8 at the age of 90. The oldest woman resident of Berne, she had enjoyed good health throughout her lifetime and death came unexpectedly from the infirmities of old age.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Aug. 11, at the First Mennonite church.

Mrs. Soldner, the former Sarah Gilliom, was born in Wayne county, Ohio and had lived in this vicinity since her marriage to Samuel Soldner in 1879. The surviving children are Mrs. Della Neuhauser, Miss Nora Soldner, and Dr. T. H. Soldner of Berne; W. H. Soldner of Van Wert, Ohio; and Rev. G. T. Soldner of Bluffton. A number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a foster son, Harvey Gilliom of Portland, also survive.
