She accepted Christ as her Saviour at the age of 15, was baptized and received into the Mennonite Church at 17 and was a faithful Christian until she was taken to her eternal home. She became a charter member of the Zion Mennonite Church two and one-half miles south of Vestaburg, Mich. when it was organized in 1914. Her congenial personality won for her many lasting friendships.

On Oct. 11, 1887, she was married to Abram Snyder of Bloomingdale, Ont., who preceded her in death April 23, 1945.

To this union were born three sons and four daughters, three of whom preceded her in death, Mathilda Schloneger, Allen, and Susanna Wideman. Also preceding her were two brothers and one sister, Israel Dettweiler of Caro, Mich., Rudolph Dettweiler of Midland, Va., and Susanna Switzer of Vestaburg, Mich.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Hannah Ropp of Alma, Abram and Leroy of Vestaburg, and Mrs. Otto Beach of Edmore; a foster daughter, Marie Brubacher of Bright, Ont.; 20 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; 14 nephews and nieces and their families and a host of relatives and friends.

"For salvation we claim the death of our Lord on Calvary who promised life eternal for faith in Him and confession of his name."

Funeral services were conducted at the Ferris Church of Christ, in charge of Min. Erie E. Bontrager, assisted by Min. Lowell Grubbs of the Church of Christ, with burial in the Ferris Twp. cemetery.
