YOUNG FARMER AND BUSSINESSMAN [sic] DIED IN DELAWARE HOSPITAL

Lancaster, Pa. — Funeral services for Jonathan S. Smucker, young farmer and fertilizer dealer of the Bird-in-hand community who died unexpectedly while on a trip to Delaware, were held Aug. 21 at the Weavertown Mennonite Church.

The family was en route to the Conservative Mennonite Conference at Greenwood, Del. when Mr. Smucker developed a throat ailment and died in a Milford, Del. hospital. he was a member of the Bart Mennonite Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary A. Glick, and two sons at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna M. Smucker; three brothers and three sisters.
