DAVE A. SMITH

Dave A. Smith, son of Andrew and Elizabeth Koehn Smith, was born April 24, 1885, in Marion County, Kan. and passed away Aug. 8, 1958, at about 3:15 in his home in Ringwood, Okla. following a long illness. He reached the age of 73 years, three months and 15 days.

He came to Oklahoma in 1894, settling first at Lahoma. He moved to Ringwood with his parents in1897 and had lived there since. He grew to manhood and received his schooling near Ringwood. He was a retired farmer and a member of the West New Hopedale Church.

On Dec.22,1905, he was united in marriage to Lizzie Wedel. To this union seven children were born. They were privileged to share life's joys and sorrows for over 52 years.

He is survived by his wife Lizzie of the home; four daughters, Lenora (Mrs. John E. Koehn) of Ringwood, Ruby (Mrs. Ernest Koehn) of Dodge City, Kan., Ina (Mrs. Harry Koehn) of Ringwood, Wanda (Mrs. Elbert Nelson) of Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Eddie and Linley Smith of Ringwood; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Adolph Unruh of Pittsburgh, Penna.; seven brothers, Jake of Meno, Henry of Goltry, Ben of Newton, Kan., J. M. of Meno, Dan of Goltry and Sam of Ringwood; also many other relatives and friends.

One daughter, his father, mother and two sisters preceded him in death.

The funeral took place at the New Hopedale Mennonite Church at Meno. The remains were laid to rest at the West Hopedale Cemetery. — The Family.
