Ohio Minister's Wife Dies in Childbirth

Kidron, Ohio. — Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Irene Slabach, 40, wife of Rev. Albert C. Slabach of rural Baltic, were held Sunday afternoon, Aug. 27, at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church.

'Mrs. Slabach died in childbirth at Millersburg hospital Aug. 24. The baby, a son who was to be named Edwin Ray, was stillborn.

Mrs. Slabach was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Isaac Zuercher of rural Orrville. He husband is minister of the Longenecker Mennonite Church near Winesburg, where she was active in the ladies aid and the WMSA.

Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include a daughter, Gloria, and son, Myron, both of the home, one sister and four brothers.
