MRS. LENORA SKINNER

Mrs. Lenora (Schmidt) Skinner, daughter of John B. and Elizabeth [sic Elisabeth] Schmidt, was born near Carnegie, Okla. Aug. 26, 1953 [sic 1913], and passed away in an Oklahoma City hospital, after having been seriously ill for quite some time. She reached the age of 40 years, four months and 17 days.

Lenora lived in this and the Mountain View community all her life. She was married to Melvin Lee Skinner Feb. 1, 1932, and to this union four sons were born.

Lenora had a kind and loving disposition, which won her many friends. She was keenly interested in her home and family, being much concerned for her family during her illness, instructing the children to stay together and not break up the home. She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist church.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband, Melvin Skinner and their sons, Arde Lee, Jerry Ray, Dennis Joe and Gaylon Von, all of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Hankins of Carnegie, Mrs. Dora Shullanberger of Visalia, Calif., and Mrs. Carrie Jantz of Meno, Okla.; and two brothers, Alfred Schmidt and Walter Schmidt of Carnegie; and many other relatives.

Her father and mother, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the Mountain View Baptist church Friday, Jan. 15. Rev. Walter Davis, Mountain View pastor, conducted the services and was assisted by Rev. H. C. Lamb of Mountain View. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery.
