DON DE SHERMAN

Don De Sherman of Port Coquitlam, B .C. passed away Apr. 19. He was born May 8, 1950 to Neil and Anne Sherman in Bonneville, Alta. In 1954 the family moved to Grande Prairie, Alta. He was baptized at age 10. He married Polly Erickson in October, 1968, and they moved to Edmonton. He worked at sales jobs and completed his education. In 1972 they moved to Regina, where he worked in computer systems. Here he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour with full understanding. In 1978 he was transferred to Vancouver. He lost his job, and the family went through very difficult times. He had very recently completed training and become a qualified electrician. He worked with the Gideons and Navigators, was Sunday school superintendent and was responsible for a men's sporting activity outreach. He is remembered as a devoted and caring father for whom the physical and spiritual welfare of his family was of great concern. He is mourned by his wife; daughter Debbie Janzen; son Clenton; and 2 sisters. The funeral was Apr. 23 in Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship , Coquitlam, B.C., with Harry Loewen and Paul Dick ministering.
