Death Calls Woman Nearly Hundred Years Old.

An earthly career of nearly a century's duration came to its close Monday, January 4, when Mrs. Anna Klopfenstein Shenbeck passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Sauder, of near Grabill, Indiana. Mrs. Shenbeck was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France, on February 12, 1884, the daughter of John and Katherine Amstutz Klopfenstein. Had she lived till February 12, she would have attained an age of ninety-eight years.

Together with other members of her family, the deceased came to this country when she was seven years of age, coming in a vessel which required 33 days to cross the ocean.

Surviving Mrs. Shenbeck are three daughters, a son, 18 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Grabill, Ind., Mennonite church with Rev. E. J. Oyer and Rev. J. K. Gerig officiating.
