OLDEST MEMBER OF KITCHENER CHURCH DIES AT AGE 89
Kitchener, Ontario. — Caleb S. Shelly, 89, the oldest member of the Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, Kitchener, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22. He had been a resident of the Kitchener-Waterloo area all his life.
Mr. Shelly was born at Freeport, Ontario and farmed in that area until his retirement thirty years ago. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. David Shelly.
The minister of the congregation, Rev. Wilfred Ulrich, had charge of the funeral service on Friday, Oct. 24, assisted by Rev. U. K. Weber, a former minister of the church and personal friends of the late Mr. Shelly.
