HARRY M. SHEARER

Harry Milton Shearer, 71, Sherburn, Minn. resident, died Sunday at Fairmont Community hospital. Born May 13, 1879, at Cullum [sic Cullom], Ill., he came to Jackson, Minn., with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shearer, in 1894.

He married Mildred Dann, Dec. 25, 1907, at Jackson. In 1926 they moved to Freeborn county, where they farmed until they retired and moved to Sherburn in 1938.

Surviving are his wife, and the following children, Mrs. Garrett (Geraldine) Amersfoort, Mrs. Lucille Clawson, both of Sherburn; Milton of Umatilla, Ore.; Arthur of Upland, Calif.: Ray of San Bernardino, Calif.; Robert of Wheaton, Minn.; Ruth Shearer of San Bernardino, Calif.; Bruce of Hermiston, Ore.; and Mrs. James (Jeanne) Whitcomb of Upland, Calif.; also three brothers and one sister, Charles Shearer of St. Paul, Russell Shearer of Jackson, and Weslie Shearer of Jackson, and Mrs. Edward Harder of Upland, Calif., also eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, 1:30 p. m. at the Shearer home and 2 p. m. at the Alpha Mennonite church, Rev. C J. Garber and Rev. Noah Landis officiating. Burial was in Sherburn cemetery.
