MOSE J. SCHWEITZER

Mose J. Schweitzer, youngest son of Jacob and Barbara (Jantzi) Schweitzer, was born near Brunner, Ontario on May 29, 1874.

He came to Nebraska with his family when a small boy, settling at O'Neill and coming to Milford, Neb. when he was in his early teens. He lived there the remainder of his life.

On July 3, 1898, he was united in marriage to Lovina Stutzman of Milford, and they shared joys and sorrows for 37 years. One daughter, Dorothy, was born to this union. On Feb. 8, 1935, he suffered the loss of his life companion.

Father was a business man for many years and led a very active life until he suffered the loss of his eyesight, being blind for the last three years.

His mind was very keen and he enjoyed good health until he entered the hospital at Seward, Neb. on Jan. 9, 1959, submitting to an operation from which he never recovered, passing away Jan. 31, 1959, at the age of 84 years, eight months and two days.

In his youth he confessed his Lord and was baptized at the East Fairview Mennonite Church where he remained faithful until death. He was always ready to give his testimony for the Lord.

He leaves to mourn his death his daughter Dorothy, Mrs. Harry D. Miller, and her husband, six grandchildren, all of Nampa, Idaho, and a host of nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Feb. 3, 1959, at East Fairview Mennonite Church by Oliver Roth and Sterling U. Stauffer, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
