TRAGIC DEATH OF 11 YEAR OLD LAD

Monroe, Ind. — One of the largest funerals held here in recent months took place Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 12, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel L. Schwartz, of the Old Order Amish congregation, when their 11 year old son Samuel was laid to his final resting place. Samuel was fatally wounded by a shotgun, allegedly by at the hand of a neighbor boy.

The tragedy happened Saturday morning, Sept. 9. The discharge of the gun tore away a good part of the unfortunate lad's abdomen. He was rushed to the Decatur hospital where he passed away about 24 hours after the accident. Among the immediate family surviving are his parents and several brothers, one of whom is his twin.
