LEADER IN FARM ORGANIZATIONS DIED AT BERNE, INDIANA

Berne, Ind. — Christian W. R. Schwartz, 62, prominent in farm organizations in this community for a number of years, died at his farm home Sept. 16 of a heart ailment. Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite church, of which he was a member.

Mr. Schwartz was active in the Farm Bureau, served on the Adams County extension committee, helped promote 4-H work, and edited the Adams County Farm News. He was a lifelong resident here and the farm where he died was also his birthplace.
