Benjamin Schumacher

Benjamin Schumacher was born in Allen County, Ohio, on April 9, 1860, the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Suter) Schmacher [sic Schumacher].

In March, 1880, he was baptized upon confession of faith and received into the Mennonite church, of which he remained a faithful member until death.

On April 16, 1893, he was united in marriage to Sarah Miller. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. Those who survive him with his wife are, Clara, Stella, George and Richard.

After several years of failing strength, Mr. Schumacher passed away at his home in Bluffton, Ohio, on Feb. 25, 1928, thus bringing his age to sixty-seven years, eleven months and sixteen days.

Mr. Schumacher was the 18th in a family of 16 children. Of this family 3 brothers and 1 sister survive him. These are Christian, Daniel, Adam and Mrs. Sarah Kohli.

Besides these he is survived y a host of other relatives and friends. He will be especially missed in the home circle, for he was always a good husband and father and his memory will ever remain precious to those for his love, devotion and Christian home influence.

Funeral which was held from the St. John church was in charge of Rev. Rosenberger. — Pandora Times.
