FILLING STATION ACCIDENT FATAL TO FATHER OF TWO

Mountain Lake, Minn. — This community was shocked by news of the sudden accidental death of Sam Schroeder, 50, of Mankato, fatally injured on July 7 when a truck tire lock-rim struck him in the face after the tire exploded at the oil station where he worked. He died at the hospital about an hour after the accident.

Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder and two children moved to Mankato from Mountain Lake less than a year ago and have many friends in this community.

The funeral service was conducted July 10 at the Bethel church here, of which Mr. Schroeder was a member.
