Pioneer Banker Passes At Mt. Lake
Mt. Lake, Minn. — Funeral services for David J. Schroeder, 80, pioneer banker of this community, were held Aug. 22 at the Bethel Mennonite church.
Beginning his banking career in Mt. Lake in 1902, Mr. Schroeder was vice president of the Farmers State bank at the time of his death.
Born in Mt. Lake in 1880, he was the son of Johann and Gertruda Schroeder. He married Gertrude Hiebert in 1909.
