SUVILLA MYERS SCHROCK

Suvilla Myers Schrock was born Mar. 15, 1880 in Elkhart County, Ind. to Samuel and Barbara Bontrager Eash. She died June 29, 1979 at the age of 99.

The youngest of 10 children, she went to McPherson County, Kan. to live with her uncle and aunt after the death of her mother. At an early age she accepted Christ and was baptized as a member of the West Liberty Mennonite church. She was a member of the Brownsville (Ore.) Mennonite church at the time of her death.

She was married to Reuben Myers in 1900. To this union was born one son, Ralph Emerson Myers of Sweet Home, Ore. She was widowed in 1917. In 1935 she married Harry Schrock and they made their home in Goshen, Ind. After his death in 1962, she went to live with her son in Oregon. She went to Oklahoma in 1974, and at the time of her death was residing at the Mennonite Brethren Home for the Aged in Corn.

She is survived by her son Ralph and his wife Mildred; two step-daughters, Lizzie Yoder and Betty Rice Hatch; five grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted July 2 by Chester Slagell at the Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Burial was at the Pleasant View Mennonite Cemetery northwest of Hydro, Okla.
