WELL-KNOWN RETIRED FARMER OF ILLINOIS COMMUNITY DIED

Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were held at the Metamora Mennonite church on Sunday afternoon, June 22, for Peter B. Schrock, well known retired farmer of the Lowpoint community. He died at a Peoria hospital June 19, two days after submitting to an operation.

Mr. Schrock had farmed in the Roanoke and Lowpoint communities, and was well known in this vicinity. In recent years he had been employed as a fertilizer salesman. He was born in Woodford county on Oct. 16, 1881, and joined the local church at the age of 15. The services here, in charge of Rev. Howard J. Zehr and Rev. Harry Yoder, were widely attended.

He leaves his wife, Katherine, one daughter and six sons, and nine grandchildren.
