MRS. LAURETTA SCHROCK

Lauretta Schrock, wife of Jesse Schrock, was born Sept. 5, 1888, in Clay township, Miami county, Indiana; died at her home in Harrison township, Miami county on Oct 27, 1949, age 61 years, one month, 22 days. She had been in failing health for some time.

She was the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Shank) Schrock, who were among the pioneer settlers of the community.

Surviving are the husband, Jesse; two daughters, Wilma Zigler and Ruby Miller (a daughter, Ruth Naomi, died in infancy); one grand-daughter born only a few days before her death; three brothers, John Schrock of Kokomo, Ind., Reuben Schrock of Des Moines, Iowa, and Homer Schrock of Indianapolis, Ind.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Katie Frey and Mrs. Lizzie Livingstone.

In her youth she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of the Mennonite Church, Howard-Miami congregation, being a member at her death.

Funeral services were held at the Howard-Miami Mennonite church on Oct. 30, 1949, in charge of Anson G. Horner. Burial was in the Schrock cemetery,
